BudgetMac (Shareware) is a powerful budgeting tool for staying within a fixed budget and tracking where money is spent.
The main view in standard mode (shown below) provides a summary view of totals and details at a glance how much has been spent each month under each category, and how much is available for that month. The Avg column shows the average amount spent in each category (excluding months with no data). BudgetMac also supports the tried and true method of budgeting with envelopes. In Envelope mode, the view shows how much is remaining in each envelope and the budget shows the total remaining in all the envelopes. Envelopes can be ’stuffed’ by entering in the data entry view, or by clicking on the budget for that month.
